What the free trial gives you

The Happ client runs on the Xray core, so during the test you have access to the same set of features as on a paid plan: connecting to servers, choosing configurations, proxy mode, and split tunneling. The only difference is the term of validity — once the trial period expires, the subscription stops updating the nodes.

The test is meant for a practical check: how quickly your nearest server connects, whether the connection stays stable under your provider, whether the speed is enough for video and downloads. The Happ app itself is free and distributed openly — you pay not for the program, but for the subscription that grants access to the servers. The trial key lets you evaluate this subscription without any charges.

Important: free access works via a legitimate key issued by the service's bot. Do not use random public configs from open lists — they are unstable, may lead to someone else's nodes, and give no sense of the real quality of the paid subscription.

How to get a trial key in the Telegram bot

In the bot, select the trial access option (it's usually called "Trial period" or "Test"). The bot will generate a personal subscription link — a URL that ends with your unique identifier. Copy this link in full: it's exactly what you import into Happ, not the individual server addresses.

If the bot asks you to confirm the device or platform, specify the one where you'll be testing — Android, iOS, Windows, or macOS. The subscription link is universal and works for all platforms at once, so a single trial key can be set up on several devices within the plan's terms.

How to activate the trial subscription in Happ

Install Happ on your device and open the app. Go to the subscription-adding section — in Happ this is the option for importing via a link (Add subscription / Import from clipboard). Paste the subscription link copied from the bot and confirm the addition.

After the import, Happ will load the list of servers tied to your trial key. Choose the geographically nearest node and tap connect. If the connection is established and traffic starts flowing, trial access is active. Check several servers in a row to figure out which one is more stable with your provider.

If, after pasting, the link doesn't pull in any servers, open it directly in a browser: a working subscription will return a text config rather than an error. An empty response usually means the trial period hasn't yet been activated on the bot's side — go back to Telegram and complete the key-issuing step.

Validity period and what happens after the test

The trial period is designed for 3 days — that's enough to test the app in various scenarios: at home over Wi-Fi, on mobile internet, on several servers. The countdown usually starts from the moment the bot issues the key, so don't request the test in advance if you plan to try it later.

When the trial term ends, the subscription link stops updating the list of working servers, and new connections won't go through. The Happ app itself stays installed — there's no need to remove it. Just renew your access, and the same subscription will start working again without reinstallation.

Trial access is intended for a one-time evaluation, not for permanent free use. As a rule, you can't request a free trial again on the same account — a paid plan is provided for further use.

Moving from the trial to a paid subscription

If the test satisfied you on speed and stability, the easiest way to switch to a paid plan is in the same Telegram bot: it has a section for payment and choosing the subscription term. After payment, the bot will extend your current subscription link, so you won't need to import anything into Happ again — the servers will simply become available once more.

The key and subscription stay tied to your account in the bot, so your history and settings aren't lost when moving from the trial period to a paid one. This is convenient if you already found a working server during the test — after payment it will continue working on the same configuration.
