Choose a platform to install Happ

Happ is a single client built on the Xray core, available for desktop and mobile systems. The connection logic is the same everywhere: you install the app, import a subscription or key and turn on proxy mode. Only the installation method and file format differ.

For smartphones, the easiest way is to install Happ from the app store — App Store for iPhone and iPad, Google Play for Android. For desktop systems, an installation file is more common: .exe or Microsoft Store for Windows, .dmg for macOS, packages and AppImage for Linux. On Android TV and set-top boxes, Happ is installed via APK or through the store, if it's available on the device.

If you're not sure where to start, install Happ on the device you use for the internet most often. The key and subscription can be reused: a single profile works across several devices at once.

Download links by platform

Each system has its own page with a direct link and step-by-step installation: Windows, Android, iPhone (iOS), macOS, Linux and Smart TV, as well as extensions for Chrome and Firefox. Go to the section you need — it lists the current download source and the build architecture.

We deliberately don't offer a "universal" installer: every platform has its own format and its own nuances — app signature, permissions, autostart. Separate pages let us keep instructions precise and avoid confusing, for example, ARM and x86 builds.

Download Happ only from trusted sources — app stores and the project's GitHub repository. That way you get the genuine build without third-party code or ads.

Architecture, requirements and compatibility

The Windows build ships for 64-bit systems (x64) — the standard on most PCs and laptops from recent years. You can check your system's architecture under "Settings → System → About". The macOS version is built universally and works on both Apple Silicon processors (M1–M4) and Intel Macs.

On Android you need a relatively recent OS version; the APK from GitHub is suitable for devices without Google Play, including TV boxes. On iPhone and iPad, Happ is installed via the App Store and requires a current version of iOS or iPadOS. Linux users have options available as AppImage and packages — choose one to match your distribution and architecture (x86_64 or ARM).

The client is undemanding on hardware: the Xray core runs in the background and puts almost no load on the processor. The main resource is a stable network connection and a correctly added server.

What to do after installing Happ

Downloading and installing the app is only half the job. For Happ to start passing traffic, it needs a subscription or a configuration key. These are issued by the service's Telegram bot: there you set up trial, official or paid access and receive a subscription link or a configuration string.

Open Happ, add the subscription via the link (or paste the key manually), wait for the server list to load and select a node. After that, turn on the connection — in proxy mode Happ will route traffic through the chosen server. You can check the result on the status page or with any IP detection service.

Next, it's worth setting up split tunneling — which apps go through the proxy and which go direct — and, if needed, utility functions and routing lists. Separate pages are dedicated to these sections: they'll help you get the most speed and stability out of Happ.

Updates and authenticity verification

Apps from the App Store, Google Play and Microsoft Store update automatically. If you installed Happ via an APK or an installation file from GitHub, keep an eye on new releases manually: fresh versions fix connection bugs and add support for new Xray core features.

Before installing a build not from a store, check the source against the project's repository. Don't download Happ from random websites or file-sharing services — such builds may contain modified code. The authenticity of a GitHub release is confirmed by the releases page and the file's checksum data.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Happ a free app?

The Happ app itself is free on all platforms. What can be paid is the server subscription — access (trial, official or paid) is set up in the service's Telegram bot. There's no charge for downloading the client.

Which version of Happ should I download for Windows?

For modern PCs, the 64-bit (x64) build is the right choice. Check your system's architecture under "Settings → System → About". The direct link and details are on the Windows download page.

Can I use one key on several devices?

Yes. A subscription or key from the Telegram bot transfers between devices: install Happ on each one and add the same subscription link. Limits on the number of devices depend on your plan.

Is it safe to download Happ from GitHub?

Yes, if it's the project's repository. Builds for devices without app stores (APK, Linux packages) are published on the releases page. It's best to avoid downloads from outside sites.

Happ won't connect after installation — what should I do?

Make sure you've added a current subscription from the Telegram bot and selected a working server. Check the build's architecture and version, as well as your internet connection. A breakdown of common errors is in the support section.

Do I need a key or profile before installing?

No. First download and install the app, then add the key afterward. You can get a subscription at any time through the Telegram bot — installing the client and setting up access aren't tied to a specific order in time.
